Pool Tips from AB Pacific
- Heavy Pool Usage can throw your pools chemistry off even under weekly care by a service industry professional. If you know that your pool will be subjected to an unusual amount of usage as would be the case during a pool party, let your provider know ahead of time so that he or she can take the steps in preparing your pools chlorine levels.
- WE SEE POOLS TURN GREEN when the islands experience heavy rain falls and or when winds kick up and displace large amounts of debris into pools. If your neighborhood experiences a heavy rainfall over a couple of days, you can be proactive in keeping away algae blooms. This is done by adding regular bleach to your pools deep end. Make sure that your pool is running and at the beginning of it's timers cycle. If your not sure, ask your pool professional how much bleach should be used for your particular pool!
- Back washing your SAND FILTERS should only be done when the pressure indicates that it is time to backwash! Repetitive back washing can cause the loss of your pools chemicals that keep the water clear and sparkling! Remember whatever chemicals you or your provider put into the water are ejected back out during back washing! It is also important to make sure your pressure gauge is functioning properly.

- Did you know that AB Pacific can take a water sample out to a local lab to have a diagnostic run on your pools water? It is recommended that this be done twice a year to check for metals in the water.
- How long was your pool last drained? The pool industry suggests that your water be changed once every 4 to 5 years.Did you know that the multi port on your pools sand filter should never be turned counter clock wise? Keep a repair man close if you do!
